Steps
  1. Soak the unslaked lime and 2.5 liters of water in a jar the night before.
  2. The next day, transfer the water in the jar to another container without stirring the sediment. Put the pumpkins in this water and let them sit for 12 hours.
  3. Then take the pumpkins out and let them sit in normal tap water for 1 hour. In a separate place, put 5 cups of water and powdered sugar in a pot, boil for 5 minutes, and let it cool.
  4. Put the pumpkins in the cooled syrup. Place it on the stove. When it starts to boil, reduce the heat. And cook for about an hour. Just before removing from the heat, add lemon salt and boil for another minute.
  5. When it starts to cool, dip it in shredded pistachios and place it on a serving plate.
